Every case, from first call to final bill.
LexSteward is the system of record that does the work, intake, matters, deadlines, documents with AI drafting, billing, and a client portal in one private place, with Ward, your chief of staff, surfacing what needs you today. Built for any practice area; private by design.
Ward opens your day with the three things that matter.
A statute of limitations approaching. A document drafted and ready to send. A new lead that answers best within the hour. Ward surfaces them in priority order, drafts the next step in your brand and jurisdiction, and waits for your one-tap sign-off, it never sends or files on its own.
Sample data A labeled illustration of the live workspace, a synthetic firm, no real client information.
The deadline computes itself. You approve with one tap.
A date is never silently set, Ward surfaces it for you to confirm. That single approval step is the same one that runs through the whole platform.
The system that gets smarter about your firm every day.
Generic AI is brilliant — and forgets you the moment the chat ends. LexSteward learns from what you confirm: your drafting style, your playbooks, each client's history. It grounds every draft and proposal in that knowledge, and the longer you use it, the more it's tuned to you. Your institutional knowledge, working — not walking out the door when someone leaves.
- Remembers your way of working — learns from what you approve. You control what's remembered.
- Per-client memory — every matter builds on the last; the system knows this client's history and preferences.
- Memory-grounded drafts — every AI proposal cites the firm memory it drew from, so you can verify and correct.
- Always exportable — your institutional knowledge is yours; download it any time, no lock-in.
Surface-then-confirm: Ward proposes; you decide what gets remembered. Nothing is learned silently. Privacy & in-boundary details →

Meet Ward. One assistant, your whole firm.
Every firm wishes it had a great chief of staff: someone who sees everything, drafts the next step, and never lets anything slip. LexSteward gives you one. A single AI assistant runs across the entire system: it drafts your AEO pages, content, and Google Business posts to get you found; inside your practice OS it surfaces deadlines, drafts documents, and triages new intake; and it writes the plain-English updates your clients see. One assistant, everywhere, not a different bot bolted onto every tool.
It proposes. You approve.
Ward does the heavy lifting, but it never acts alone. Anything legal, client-facing, or billed always waits for your one-click sign-off: the same single approval step that runs through the whole platform. You stay the licensed professional with the final say.
It’s your firm’s assistant, not a client-facing legal chatbot. It drafts the client updates that you approve and release; your clients are never given AI legal advice, and nothing it produces is legal advice or creates an attorney–client relationship.

Only what’s built is shown as live. A few features are marked gated, they activate after the relevant compliance or jurisdiction review, never before.
Chief of staff (Ward)
An in-boundary assistant that surfaces “what needs you today” and proposes the next step, you approve, it acts. Never sends or files on its own.
Intake & CRM
Capture leads, run conflict checks, qualify, and convert to a matter with zero re-keying. Adaptive, practice-area-aware intake.
Matters & case files
Every matter in one place, parties, documents, notes, activity, and an AI-grounded answer over the case file.
Deadlines & docket
A firm-wide calendar and docket. Dates are surfaced for an attorney to confirm, never silently set; verified court-rule data is a gated, counsel-reviewed step.
Documents & AI drafting
Generate from your templates, assemble packets, redact PII, and e-sign, client merges stay in-boundary, never sent to a public model.
Form library & template import
Pull the official agency and court form set for your jurisdiction, version-tracked. Bring your own templates over, field-mapped for your approval; live auto-refresh from the source is a gated step.
Time & earned-fee billing
Time capture, rate tables, invoices, and a no-login client pay link. Earned-fee only, payments record against an issued invoice.
Client portal
A firm-branded portal that keeps clients informed, status timeline, documents, secure messaging, and optional texting. Keeping clients informed is its own pillar of the platform.
Trust / IOLTA accounting gated
A trust-ledger engine with the strict never-negative / no-commingling invariants, activates per jurisdiction after CPA & bar review.
Work-line call capture gated
Capture work calls from your own cell, in-boundary transcript → proposed time & tasks, gated on telephony + recording-consent setup.
Litigation analysis gated
Stress-test arguments against your own authority with a citation-verification waterfall, gated, Firm+ tier.
3 features are marked gated, they activate after the relevant compliance / jurisdiction review (per-jurisdiction CPA & bar sign-off for trust accounting; telephony + recording-consent for call capture). See pricing for what’s live at each tier.
Good to know.
- Is this really one system, or separate tools stitched together?
- One system. Intake, matters, deadlines, documents, billing, and the client portal share the same records, so a lead becomes a matter, a matter’s work becomes a bill, and your client sees the right updates, with no re-keying and no integrations to maintain.
- Does it work for my practice area?
- Yes. The system is universal, a practice area is configuration (a “pack”), not custom code. SSDI, immigration, bankruptcy, VA, tax, family, PI, workers’ comp, estate, and more run on the same engine; you describe your practice and it configures itself, and you approve.
- What’s actually live versus coming?
- Most of it is built and working on synthetic data today; a handful of features are honestly marked gated, they switch on only after the relevant compliance or jurisdiction review (trust/IOLTA accounting, live call capture, litigation analysis). We never show a gated feature as live. See pricing for what’s included at each tier.
- Do I have to leave my current case system to try it?
- No. Keep your current system and run LexSteward alongside it; when you’re ready to move your data over, a standard migration is free with an annual plan (larger or complex moves are quoted), reversible, and previews a dry-run before anything commits.
- Can I bring my own forms and templates?
- Yes. Pull the official agency and court form set for your jurisdiction and practice area into a version-tracked library, and import your own templates from your old system, their merge fields are matched to your matter fields for your line-by-line approval, with anything unrecognized flagged rather than guessed. Live auto-refresh of official forms from the source is a gated, security-reviewed step.
