- How do clients log in, do they need another password?
- No. The portal is passwordless: a client gets a secure magic link and they’re in, no account to create, no password to forget. It works on their phone, in their language where you’ve set one.
- Could a client see something I didn’t mean to share?
- No. Nothing in a matter is visible to a client until your staff explicitly approves the view, and that approval is per-matter and re-checked when the case stage changes. Drafts, privileged notes, and unissued invoices are never shown, the portal is safe by default, and you decide what each client sees.
- Is the texting compliant?
- It’s built to be. Texts are consent-first (the client opts in, and opt-out always wins), content-free (just your firm name, an opaque secure link, and STOP, never case details or money over SMS), and live sending stays off until your A2P 10DLC carrier registration is complete. Until then it’s fully inert.
- Whose brand is the portal, mine or LexSteward’s?
- Yours. The client-facing portal uses your firm’s colors, name, and domain. Your clients experience it as your firm’s portal; LexSteward stays invisible to them.
